Local Roots.     New Ideas.

Leadership for Vista's Future.

Bear_edited_edited.png

Dear Neighbors,

Vista isn’t just where I live, it’s where my story began.

In the early 1970s, my parents came to Vista and found work packing tomatoes and harvesting avocados. They worked long, hard days so their four sons could have a better life. We grew up in the heart of this town, where determination and hard work were the only path to success.

By the time I reached middle school, my mom was raising us on her own, working night shifts to keep food on the table. Life wasn’t easy. Like many kids in tough neighborhoods, I stumbled and made mistakes. But I found my way back, determined to change my path. I became the first in my family to graduate from college, working full-time at a local grocery store, raising a child, and commuting to Los Angeles each week to earn my degree from Cal State Northridge.

Today, I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 28 years. We raised our three kids here in Vista, and we’re now proud grandparents. Our roots are deep. Our story is here.

I love Vista, but I also know we can do better as a community. As your voice on the Vista City Council, I will fight to keep our neighborhoods safe, repair and maintain our roads, upgrade our parks, support small businesses, and make Vista a more affordable place to live, work, and raise a family.

I hope to earn your trust, your support, and your vote.

With gratitude,

Frank Nuñez
